Resume and Cover Letter Data

We collect the content you provide when building resumes and cover letters, including personal details, work experience, education, skills, projects, and certifications. This data is stored securely to provide the Service.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, timestamps, browser type, device information, and IP address.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service: Create, store, and render your resumes and cover letters, generate PDF exports, and track your job applications.
  • Power AI Features: Send relevant portions of your resume or cover letter content to our AI providers to generate reviews, suggestions, and cover letter drafts.
  • Process Payments: Manage your subscription, process billing, and handle refund requests.
  • Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to fix bugs, improve features, and develop new functionality.
  • Communicate with You: Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets) and, with your consent, product updates.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the following third-party services that are necessary to operate the Service:

  • OpenRouter: Our AI provider. When you use AI features (reviews, cover letter generation), relevant document content is sent to OpenRouter for processing. OpenRouter processes this data according to their privacy policy.
  • Polar: Our payment processor. When you subscribe to a premium plan, Polar handles your payment information. We do not store your credit card details directly.
  • Vercel: Our hosting and infrastructure provider. Your data is stored on Vercel's infrastructure, which is protected by industry-standard security measures.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud or security threats.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing, session management, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and document data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data and documents within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or compliance purposes.
